TWO BANK ROBBERIES THIS MONTH Police Seek Help of Public to Find Bandits

October 26  2007:  In the second bank robbery to occur this month,  Coral Springs Police are once again seeing the help of the public in searching for the criminal involved.  The robbery occurred  at 8:02am, October 23, 2007 at the Bank Atlantic, 10385 Royal Palm Blvd. This bank is located within one block of the Coral Springs Police department headquarters on Coral Springs drive.  

Coral Springs detectives report that that a Hispanic male entered the bank approached the teller with a note demanding money from the cash drawer. The suspect exited the bank with an undetermined amount of money and was last seen leaving on foot east through the plaza.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35-45 years of age, 5’-5” – 5’-7” tall, wearing a construction hardhat and tool belt.

This follows another bank robbery that occurred early a eleven days earlier  on 5:00pm, October 12, 2007 at the Washington Mutual, 10585 Wiles Road.  Investigation indicated that two black males entered the bank together and one approached the teller with a note. The suspect demanded money from the cash draw in various denominations. Both suspects exited the bank with an undetermined amount of money and were last seen fleeing west on Wiles Road in a tan/beige Hyundai, 4 door, minimal tint with temp tag  beginning with R.
